Student Development

The Whole-person Student Development is our primary goal.

Every student is an independent individual with unique needs. Student Development in Law Ting Pong Secondary School stimulates and supports students as they progress through their own unique developmental process. The more the student development can be, the better individualization will be.

Student Development in our School is dedicated in stimulating students toward the development of intelligent choices in their social, emotional, physical, spiritual and academic lives as whole persons. In order to enhance and maximize students' learning and individual growth, the Student Development Unit is committed to create a school ethos which is educational, student-centered, disciplined, caring and collaborative for all the stakeholders.

Student involvement in every aspect of school life is designed in accordance with the following principles:

  1. To enable each student to fully develop his/her various abilities
  2. To prepare him/her, through acquisition of appropriate knowledge and skills, for life beyond school with particular attention to the following areas:
    • Academic standard as measured by external examinations
    • Contemporary society and its developing technology

The Student Development Unit offers services through the implementation of the Comprehensive Guidance Programme. Through different programmes, policies and personal interactions, students are encouraged to explore their personal potential. These programmes also help the students in taking an active role in defining what is right for them. Our services include:

The Student Development Unit includes the Student Support and Mentoring Committee, Career Education and Alumni Committee, Life-wide Learning Committee, Life Education Committee, Home-School Cooperation Committee. In each of these committee, you will find dedicated teaching staff who are committed to help students succeed inside and outside the classroom.
