Law Ting Pong Secondary School
Application Guidelines for Secondary One Admission 2010/11

Law Ting Pong Secondary School (LTPSS) has joined the Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) beginning from September 2008 at the Secondary One level.

As LTPSS will not participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System, the applicants from any school net may apply to our school.

Distribution of S1 application forms: from 2nd October, 2009

  1. Application forms and the school information can be obtained through the following methods:
    1. By post – send an A4 size self-addressed stamped (HK$8.2) envelope to the General Office, please state “Request for Application forms for S1 Admission” on the envelope
    2. In person – visit the General Office during office hours (Mon - Fri: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sat: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
    3. Download from our school website (http://www.ltpss.edu.hk)

  2. The completed form should be submitted either by post or in person to our General Office, together with the followings:
    1. copy of Primary 6 Student Record Form issued by EDB (if available);
    2. copy of Allocation Slip/ Admission Slip issued by EDB (if available);
    3. a recent individual photo affixed to the application form;
    4. copy of birth certificate or Hong Kong Identity Card;
    5. copies of report cards (Primary 4, 5 and the first semester of Primary 6 if available);
    6. copies of a piece of English school work and a piece of Chinese school work (marked compositions preferred);
    7. copies of certificates of commendation (both internal and external in Primary 4, 5 and the first semester of Primary 6) (if available);
    8. a crossed cheque $50 (Application Fee) payable to “The Incorporated Management Committee of Law Ting Pong Secondary School”. If you submit the application in person, you may pay by cash.
  3. Application Criteria
    1. Agreeing with our school's education philosophy.
    2. Obtaining grade B (or 75%) or above in Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics and being confident in learning various subjects in English; and
    3. The conduct grade should be B (or 75%) or above.
  4. School fee(10 installments):

    Junior Form (Secondary 1 - 3) - HK$10,000 per person per annum

    Senior Form (Secondary 4 - 6) - HK$13,000 per person per annum

  5. Interviews
    1. ALL applicants will be notified for an interview on the day we receive the application documents.
    2. Date of interview: 26th June,2010 (Saturday)
    3. The interview will be conducted in a relaxing environment. Thus, it is not necessary for parents to provide extra preparation for children.
    4. The children who will participate in the interview should be accompanied by one of the parents.

  6. Admission criteria and weighting
