The objectives of the week were four-fold:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1. To encourage them to review your own abilities, interests and career goals.<\/p>\n<p>2. To provide chances for them to better understand the post-secondary education choices available<\/p>\n<p>to you through visiting various tertiary institutes.<\/p>\n<p>3. To raise their awareness of the world of work through attending talks and visiting firms or<\/p>\n<p>governmental organisations.<\/p>\n<p>4. To empower them to make informed choices through setting clearer academic and career goals,<\/p>\n<p>and eventually lead a goal-driven life.<\/p>\n<p>During the week, each student was required to keep a Logbook jointly prepared by the Careers and<\/p>\n<p>Life Planning Education Committee and the English Department. These logbooks were then read by<\/p>\n<p>our English Teachers and graded in terms of the quality of work.<\/p>\n<p>On 16th March 2016, the S5 Careers Week Certificates Presentation Ceremony was held to award<\/p>\n<p>students who completed the tasks in the logbooks very satisfactorily. 37 students were awarded<\/p>\n<p>Certificates of Appreciation and 21 students were awarded Certificates of Excellence.
