S1: Through drama, voice, and movement, students build confidence, stretch their imaginations, and sharpen essential skills in creativity, critical thinking, and communication.
We place a strong emphasis on developing compelling, believable characters. Pupils learn to step into different perspectives, analyse motivations, and express nuanced emotions—skills that enhance empathy and self-awareness.
A highlight of our programme is Readers Theatre, where pupils interpret scripts aloud with expressive voice work and storytelling. This approach fosters fluency, vocal confidence, and the ability to engage an audience.
S2-S5: At our school, we are passionate about nurturing creativity and self-confidence through a wide range of enhancement classes. Students are invited to explore the exciting realms of scriptwriting, filmmaking, and dramatic arts—developing their storytelling abilities both on and off the stage. These programmes foster not only artistic expression but also the development of key communication skills. In S5, students benefit from a dedicated focus on public speaking, where they are encouraged to articulate their ideas clearly, present with confidence, and connect meaningfully with a wide range of audiences.
Drama Team: Our drama team receives dedicated guidance from our Performing Arts teacher, who provides expert coaching to prepare students for a wide array of school productions and regional theatre festivals, fostering both talent and teamwork along the way.
