Morning assembly and the live broadcast of China’s Victory Day Parade
On 3 September, following an inspiring morning assembly address by Dr. CF Law with the title “Remember history, Cherish peace, Keep striving”, LTPSS students had the privilege to witness our Country’s magnificent military strengths through watching a live broadcast of China’s Victory Day parade in the School Hall and classrooms. The parade in Beijing is held to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and World Anti-Fascist War. The viewing of our motherland’s modern defence capabilities helps strengthen our students’ national identity and belonging. Their love for our Country was fully manifested through their solemn and heartfelt singing of the national anthem.
The parade on this special day not only displayed our Country’s military strengths, it reminded us of the immense sacrifices made to achieve victory, hence instilling in our students the importance of upholding peace and the duty to preserve it for future generations.
