S3 University Visits
On 19 March 2026, our S3 students enjoyed an enriching learning journey through visits to CUHK, CityU and PolyU, each offering meaningful exposure to university life and future study pathways.
During the CUHK visit, students were deeply inspired by Professor Chan Sun On Hector, Head of New Asia College. He delivered an engaging talk on the college’s mission, history and vibrant hall culture, and shared his own story of perseverance. Professor Chan also personally led the programme, warmly guiding students around the scenic campus and interacting with them. His inspiring sharing and the dormitory tour made the visit especially memorable and encouraged students to envision their university goals.
At CityU, students gained practical insights into university admissions and a clearer understanding of academic pathways through an informative talk by Professor Daniel Ho, associate Dean of Undergraduate Education. They explored study options in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and the GREAT programme. A guided visit to the “Prototyping” exhibition demonstrated how research ideas can be transformed into real-world applications, broadening students’ perspectives on university learning.
The PolyU visit offered an equally engaging experience, with Dr Kwok Lung Jim accompanying the group. Students toured several laboratories, observed demonstrations in Applied Physics and explored modern techniques used in hydroponics, food processing and technology such as 3D printing and robotics. They also developed a clearer understanding of how PolyU cultivates practical, industry-ready skills through its strong focus on applied learning.
These visits broadened students’ horizons and strengthened their motivation as they plan their future academic pathways.
