Our S1 and S2 students embarked on a meaningful journey of self-discovery and personal development last month through the Personal Growth and Class Climate Building Reading Program, jointly organised by the School Library, Students’ Support Team, and Pastoral Care Committee.
The campaign began with the Whole-Form Reading Session. S1 and S2 students engaged with selected extracts from 《你要走多遠》 and 《別讓世界看扁你》 respectively. Both pieces focus on character strengths, resilience, and self-belief which prepared students for the activities that followed. On 24-25 March, a two-day MBTI-themed booth game carnival was held. Students explored interactive booths designed to enhance self-understanding and social interaction skills with MBTI. On March 25, Mr. Gary Leung Siu-wai (梁小偉), the Awardee of the 2023 Hong Kong Humanity Award, gave an inspiring talk on how recognising and developing character strengths can lead to a resilient and fulfilling life.
Additionally, to strengthen students’ class bonding and engagement, an exciting inter-class reading competition was held after the Whole-Form Reading Session to let students demonstrate not only their comprehension skills but also their teamwork and class spirit.
