Hi students,
I am impressed by the learning of the first week you did under this special period. It is understandable that not everyone is confident or feel comfortable to learn online at home at the beginning. You may have worried about the network stability, the electronic devices you use and the learning environment at home, etc. But you have made it and you have overcome all the difficulties! Amazing, right? Please praise yourself on what you have achieved. 🙂 From what I observed, most of you enjoyed the learning tasks that your subject teachers designed. The attendance of the virtual learning classrooms was satisfactory and the submission rate of formative assessment tasks was great as well. Some teachers shared with me that they think some of you are even more engaged in online learning classrooms than in the conventional classrooms!
Please do not forget to thank your teachers for making online learning possible. I guess you should have felt how much effort the subject teachers made to make the online lessons rewarding. This shows how much they love you! Though there might be hiccups during the process, things turned out to be alright in the end! Your understanding is highly appreciated. Remember what the New Year Resolution I shared was? “Where there is a will, there is a way!” Trust yourself and you can achieve more than what you expected. Nothing is impossible!
Moreover, it is always our first priority to take care of your wellbeing. Amidst all unexpected challenges, please bear in mind what you have learned from the Wellbeing lessons. Revisit the PowerPoints and the videos. As quoted from the one yesterday, “To live a meaningful and fulfilling life, believe that becoming something comes from doing.” It is a very good time for you to take words into practice! Do you learn new skills every day when you are working on online learning tasks? Do you get involved in the discussion in virtual online classrooms? Are you satisfied with your learning progress? Do you see yourself improving day by day? All these things you have been doing are helping increase your level of wellbeing!
Last, please take good care of yourself, both physically and mentally. Remember to have enough rest, maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle and we will meet very soon!
Regards,
Mr. So
